This is a correction to a previous post. The dates
of the student forums have been changed to Monday, May 16th and
Wednesday, May 18th.
The Monday forum will be for students only, and the Wednesday
forum will be open to students, staff, and faculty.
An updated announcement appears below:
STUDENT FORUM: Toward a Culture of Inspiration, Reflection, and
Collaboration at Evergreen
---- Monday, May 16 & Wednesday, May 18 ----
Do you want more from your experience at Evergreen? Do you dream
of inspiring seminars, adventurous individual and group
contracts, and earnest pursuit of curiosity in challenging and
supportive learning community?
Students are invited to join a discussion about building a
culture that actualizes Evergreen's unique pedagogy and
educational opportunities. Reflecting on and talking about
pedagogy were once a central part of life at Evergreen, no
matter who you were or what program you were in. Now, nobody
will want to come to this forum because they don't have time for
groups or events and they figure it probably won't matter
anyway. How did we get from there to here? What can we do to get
the most out of our time here, for ourselves and for each other?
Whether Evergreen has given you a new life, or made you feel
like you flushed years of yours down the toilet, your voice is
needed in this important dialogue for our campus. Bring your
perceptions, reflections, and creative energy and something good
will happen.
There will be a short video and a guided discussion.
Topics Addressed will include: Why are you here? What is
Evergreen for? What does Evergreen need? How can we address
these needs? And others...
---- Monday, May 16 & Wednesday, May 18 ----
THERE WILL BE NO STUDENT FORUM ON WEDNESDAY 5/11
**1-3 pm** Library Room 3301 (in the Library, upstairs)
