My garage door is 82" high less about 3" for the door clearance, so 78-79". The T@G specs say 72" height but to add 3" for Boondock (so, 75"). And no difference is given for the Boondock Edge. Boondock Edge owners, is the spec correct at 75"? Including the Yakima Rack and awning? I've already lowered my expectations from T@B to T@G because of my car's towing capacity. Do I need to limit myself to just a vanilla T@G to ensure I'll fit the garage? I really love that front deck and Yakima rack.

I measured mine and it sits at 83.5" with the awning on. Just clears the opening and luckily the door on one side goes up above the opening. Not so luck on the other garage door. the XL would have given us just 2" of clearance to navigate in width wise so we did not go in that direction.

Just a thought here:
If you have one door that goes up higher than the other, it might be as simple as adjusting the up-travel of the low one by adjusting the up-limit screw on the garage door opener.

WilliamA, tried to adjust. Even had the garage door people out and the door is at its limit. I can usually figure out these things after lots of research but the one garage door seems to stop short. I can navigate the trailer inside the garage to that side if needed inside the garage. Getting excited to take our camper H@lfpint out on its maiden voyage at the end of April to Hocking Hills in Ohio.

"It's me and you against the whole wide world." Brainstorm Media along with Signature Ent. have revealed an official trailer for an indie thriller titled Marmalade, marking the feature directorial debut of actor Keir O'Donnell. It's set for a small theatrical + VOD launch in early February coming up in just a few weeks. The "edge-of-the-seat crime-tinged romance tale" film follows a man in prison who narrates the colorful tale of a romantic bank heist to his cunning cellmate, in order to plot an escape and reunite with the alluring love of his life. His cellmate Otis is a man with a well-versed history of prison breaks, and two try to help reunite Baron with her. Joe Keery stars as Baron, with Aldis Hodge as Otis, and Camila Morrone as Keery's lover Marmalade. This was filmed in & around Minnesota, including in Stillwater. This just makes me want to watch The Shawshank Redemption all over again. Looks like a fun but instantly forgettable crime movie.

"You know, it can be hard getting a joke to work. Something that's hilarious in the movie and you want to feature prominently just doesn't play in the short form without the setup, and that's really tough when you should be showcasing comedy." This sort of thing is a workaday challenge for award-winning trailer editor Mark Woollen. But it's the kind of problem that too many movie trailers resolve in a morass of plodding plot points and would-be catch phrases punctuated by scratching phonograph needles and metallic impact noises and held together with moldy Motown hits or snatches of score from the blockbuster action hit of three summers ago. That's a world away from the sly, stylish work that Mark Woollen & Associates have done for films as different from one another and as hard to summarize as Lost in Translation, Burn After Reading, or Che. His Making the Perfect Trailer workshop at South by Southwest will aim to demystify the mechanics of crafting movie ads that at their best serve as beguiling invitations to singular experiences.

MW: Well, I was really fortunate that the public high school I went to had a media program where we got to do video production. And when I was 17, I was actually cutting long-form shows for school, and I happened to read an ad in Variety looking for a trailer editor. So I applied, and I actually got the job and learned the ropes. ... When I first started, I didn't know how trailers were put together at all. You know, there are a lot of odd assumptions people have about how this is done, like you just take the best scenes and put them together or something ... but it's really more involved than that and interesting as a process.

AC: You tend to really simply present a premise but really emphasize a sense of texture and mood of the film's experience as opposed to, you know, hitting every beat of the plot, sometimes to the point of spoiling the movie itself or just making it look dumb.

MW: I know what you're talking about. I hate those as well. You know, the clich voice-of-God narrator laying out the whole thing, going, "In a world" and stuff. ... I like to think we don't do that. There are a lot of bad trailers. As many as bad movies, probably. But I feel really lucky that we get to do a lot of films we really love and respect, so it's a great challenge for us to work at putting across how the movie feels.

I'm lucky my company can actively work at pursuing certain trailers, and I try to get jobs with films by filmmakers I love. I knew that they had been trying to make Milk for 20 years, and I love Gus Van Sant's films, so when I heard they were finally doing it, I felt like I'd just be lucky to have a chance to help the film. And we just ask, "What can we do for the film?" and work hard to get it right.

Edge Workshop Manuals from model years 2015-to-2022 show a panel, the Rear Center Bumper Cover Shield, which attaches to the bottom of the bumper cover with six screws, extends forward then upward between the muffler and the bumper bar or factory hitch bar, with the top leg screwed to the underside of the cargo area floor structure.

I then pulled VINs for all GEN 2 model years from Edge's equipped with the Tow Package currently offered for sale online, and for each VIN, I ran Historical Vehicle Bill of Material reports, which list parts numbers of components specifically installed on each vehicle. Again, no reference to the Rear Center Bumper Cover Shield existed.

If your zip-tie tethers to your rear bumper cover prove unsatisfying, you could take the Workshop Manual document from the PDF download link below, to your local dealer's Parts Department to see if their resources show the Rear Center Bumper Cover Shield.

As an alternative to this potential ghost part that escaped removal from GEN 2 Workshop Manual illustrations, you could fashion a V-shaped brace out of sheet plastic or other suitable material, like the brace molded with a live-hinge into the bottom edge or rear bumper covers of GEN 1+ Edges, which attaches with a single screw to the underside of the cargo area floor, between the muffler and the bumper bar or hitch bar, which is a fairly compact area...

2021, ST, nothing flaps. Trailer tail light hookup wasn't seated in holder and dangling, but took 5 seconds to put back in place. Take it in, tell the to correct. If they refuse, contact Ford Customer Svc. I am assuming Ford option, not after market add on.

What a coincidence, I just put some zip-tie straps on my 22 ST today. There is no rear bumper cover shield on these vehicles. I went to the dealer when I noticed how the bottom isn't attached to anything, yet there are 4 holes there that look like they should clip to something. They had 4 or 5 new ST models with trailer hitch, and every one of them was the same. I can imagine at higher speeds this thing is just flapping in the wind. At least the ties will stop that somewhat. If you just touch your foot on the bottom of the bumper cover, you can move it back and forth several inches and even the fake chrome tailpipe extenders move like crazy. The dealer also told me this is how they are supposed to be. I saw this topic on the Ford Edge ST Nation Facebook page. Evidently they are all like this. Very poor workmanship for a $50k plus vehicle.

That's interesting, I installed the Ford hitch on my 2019 and reinstalled the all the bumper cover shields underneath. They fit with the hitch in place, but the mounting tab for the trailer wiring harness sticks down and was interfering with the felt cover. I had to trim it to fit there, maybe a 2"x3" square.

Regarding the question of when Ford stopped installing Rear Center Bumper Cover Shields on Edges, I did another ten-vehicle (small sample size) survey using VINs from Titanium & ST models listed for sale online, and then pulled HVBoM reports on each to see what vehicles were built with Rear Center Bumper Cover Shields.

So, is this something I can put on myself, or does the bumper cover have to come off to get this thing on? I don't think I can drive this thing around with the rear bumper so loose like it is now. Just can't imagine this is normal.

Do you know if it just clips on with those push in clips, or you have to take the bumper cover off? There's plenty of room in there. If it involves taking the bumper cover off there's no way I would try to do that.
