Hi all:
Information followed by a question:
Info:
I have been playing around with one of public jabber servers
(
xochat.org) out there. If you haven't, yet, you may want to look
into it. Its interesting. I created a document wrote a little bit
and then others started adding. It became this whole stream of
consciousness thing.
To do it:
1. Go to the terminal window.
2. sugar-control-panel -g jabber will display your current setting.
3. sugar-control-panel -s jabber
xochat.org will change to the
public server.
4. Reboot Sugar with CTRL-ALT-ERASE
My question:
I am having some trouble seeing both of the OLPC's that I am running
(one real one emulated in VMWare). I am trying to set up my own
jabber server so I know I am not running into a resource constraint at
the server (or the client). I see many XO's out there. Has anyone
done this? I would like to set this up either in Windows or on a
separate Linux machine (not OLPC). Any help or pointers would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Wilson
