Theproduct ID tag and serial number can tell you the month and year it was manufactured, and for the Aquarite/Goldline SWCG cells the length of the warranty. The format has changed a bit through the years and below are the different formats Hayward has used.

Hayward's serial numbers for all products, with the exception of some cleaners, controls, heat pumps and electronic chlorinators, are 17 digits long and begin with the numbers '21'. Often these numbers appear on product labels with spaces or parentheses.[1]

For over 35 years our reliable pool pumps are proudly assembled in the United States. They are carefully inspected and thoroughly tested before leaving our manufacturing facility, providing you with the quality and reliability you expect and deserve.

The pool pump is the heart of the circulation and filtration systems, and when the pool pump is not working, nothing works! That is why we place a high importance on having a large inventory of pump parts in stock, even hard to find replacement pump parts. Get your pool pump back in operating condition fast to prevent problems with cloudy water, algae and bacteria.

The most common parts for pool pumps are pump lids, o-rings and baskets, followed by pump impellers and diffusers. Pump shaft seals are always popular, as they are quick to leak when a pump is run dry or from a water hammer effect of a valve suddenly closing. All pump parts can be easily replaced with simple hand tools, no special tools required.

Vehicle Information can now be viewed within the newly launched Fleet Management app. Please email completed Vehicle Safety Inspection Forms for inspections completed by an outside vendor to moto...@facilitiesservices.ufl.edu.

All University of Florida departments registering a new vehicle for use at UF must complete and submit a Vehicle Intake Form. Motor Pool services, including the required pre-delivery inspection and assignment of a fuel fob cannot be provided if the vehicle intake form, supporting documentation, and funding for Motor Pool services have not been received from the customer. Back-up documentation (Certificate of Origin, Invoice, etc.) should be provided to Motor Pool upon delivery of the vehicle to complete the set-up in our system.

Motor Pool personnel are authorized to remove any vehicle from service that does not pass its safety inspection. And as the annual inspection is mandatory, the University Police Department will leave a Notice of Violation of University Policy on vehicles without current inspection decals. Vehicles receiving a Notice of Violation must be inspected within 15 days of the notice or the vehicle may be impounded until a safety inspection is completed.

The Parts Department at the Motor Pool stocks most parts needed for emergencies, including batteries, tires, filters, bulbs, fuses, wiper blades, and other items to keep your vehicle on the road and functioning safely.

All work orders for service are written by the Motor Pool staff at our main service desk. Customers must provide the vehicle number, current mileage, contact name, email address and phone number, and an explanation of the reason the vehicle is being brought to the shop. Please be prepared to leave the vehicle with us, unless prior arrangements have been made for service while you wait.

There are more than 1,300 public swimming pools in Wake County. These include city municipal pools, apartments, condominiums, subdivisions, home owner associations, clubs, etc. The local Health Department is required to inspect and permit public swimming pools prior to opening each season.

Inspectors will be checking the pool pump(s) and suction covers to verify the approved VGB documentation on file for that pool. This letter explains the requirement and the procedures inspectors will follow to verify the VGB documentation in the field. It is recommended that pool operators also follow this procedure to verify everything matches before scheduling an inspection.

Plans for new or remodeled swimming pools can now be submitted online. Click the link below to the Permit Portal to begin the application process. There is a $250 plan review fee due at the time of submittal.

To become Wake County certified, the operator must pass a test administered by the Department. Call Environmental Services at 919-856-7400 for available test times and to get signed up. We are not set up to accommodate walk-in customers for the exam. The test is based on Wake County Swimming Pool Regulations.

Swimming pools must be compliant with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGB) before permitted to operate. Wake County requires new documentation for each public swimming pool, wading pool and spa when the original drain covers/grates are replaced at the end of their useful life rating based on the manufacturer specifications. These documents must be signed and sealed by a NC registered Engineer or Architect upon submittal to Wake County.

Serial number formats vary by manufacturer, with the installation date placed differently in each case. Check the brand name on your water heater and then use the following guide to determine the age of your unit:

Over the years, many customers have asked us how can they know when to replace their swimming pool cartridge filters. Swimming pool cartridge filters are a key component of a pool's filtration system, and they are responsible for trapping dirt, debris, and other contaminants to keep the water clean and clear. Over time, the filter can become clogged with debris, which can reduce its effectiveness and ultimately lead to a variety of problems, such as cloudy water and increased chemical demand.

As a general guideline, it is recommended that you replace your swimming pool cartridge filter at least once a year. However, the frequency of replacement may depend on a variety of factors, including the size of the pool, the frequency of use, and the quality of the water source.

In the midst of the pandemic, Pentair quietly acquired Pleatco. Not sure why the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) didn't consider this purchase a bad thing for consumers. They should have blocked this purchase for the potential of giving Pentair the ability to fix prices in the replacement pool filter cartridge market. Fast forward to 1/1/2023 and that is exactly what they are doing. Effective New Years Day 2023, Pleatco is rolling out MAP (Manufacturer Approved Pricing) for the majority of their replacement filter cartridges currently being sold online by e-retailers like ourselves.

For the past 60 days we have been receiving hate mail from Pleatco telling us that we have many of their products on our website that are in violation of their proposed new MAP product pricing. Further, if we do not correct the pricing by 1/1/2023 we will incur a penalty.....not exactly sure what that is although I suspect it is like other companies that do this monopolist behavior....they will threaten to stop selling the products to my supplier if they continue to sell them to my company. This unfortunately, is American commerce today.
