Milk & Cookies Tonight!

Good afternoon, OES families!

 

I hope you'll join us this evening for our special Milk & Cookies Night.  Below are all of the details you should need for the event.

 

Volunteers

Thank you to everyone who signed up to assist us during the week and tonight.  We still need a few more parent volunteers this evening to help in the cafeteria or reading rooms.  If you're able to help, please stop by one of the PTA tables tonight. 

 

We also need a few more volunteers tomorrow morning to help set-up the Book Fair again in the Media Center.  Even if you can only come for the first hour (7-8am), we could use your help.  Please sign-up here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090a49acac28a57-oesbook.

 

NOTE: The volunteer training is not required for this evening or set-up tomorrow morning. 

 

Scholastic Book Fair
The Book Fair is being relocated to the gym for tonight only.  The doors will open at 6pm for families to browse and shop.  The Book Fair will close at 7:45pm to allow our volunteers to get it back to the Media Center for school tomorrow.  If you're unable to shop tonight, you can shop online at: http://onlinebookfairs.scholastic.com/default.aspx?f=3723415.

 

Milk & Cookies

Milk and cookies will be served in the cafeteria beginning at 6:30pm.  Please remind your kids that all food and beverages must remain in the cafeteria.  Take a few minutes to stop by the Dragon Dash Color Fun Run to learn more about this exciting event.  We will also be selling t-shirts for anyone who has not already had a chance to purchase one for their child.  If you wish to donate one to a staff member, please look for the pink post-its. All shirts are $12 each.

 

Storytime

Members of our staff will be sharing stories in both the Media Center and Music Classroom beginning at 6:30pm.  A list of readers will be posted outside of each room.  Parents may drop off school-age children so they can shop the Book Fair.  No student will be permitted to leave the reading rooms without a parent picking them up.  Please be respectful of our staff and pick your child up during a break.  Younger children should be accompanied by a parent at all times.
