Hydro power scheme update
The local Emberton council do not want to fund a feasibility study,
~"project will not generate enough power for the cost".
Talk to Emberton Parish Council
This was the opinion expressed at this meeting when I gave a talk
expressed by what I can only describe as the local squire.
No idea what the blokes name was it was just written all over his face
and when his face spoke it was ~"who will rid me of this turbulent
priest".
His attacks on the theme of me obviously having some money grubbing
motive segwayed into his implying that he would provide money for a
scheme if he thought it worth the investment - playing the generous
squire.
He stated, ~"project will not generate enough power for the cost".
Despite the fact that I was not asking for any money, LOL.
They do literally still have people with that honorific in this area,
just like the Highlands i.e. enclosure followed by a lack of social or
industrial revolution.
I was also character 'assignated' by a character apparently hot from
the set of The Thick of It (BBC TV series), who actually described
himself as someone involved in Parliamentary policy making.
As an attempt to rubbish Paul Mobbs recent report to Parliament.

He then went on to accuse me of being after some big wedge of money
they have got their hands on, which was news to me.
So having found out about their stash I put in a request for a grant
to cover an feasibility survey.
Interestingly I learn through back channels that none of the suitable
sites on the Thames all of which are owned by the Environment Agency
will be developed on cost grounds.
The EA were recently handed a directive telling them they must allow
any viable hydro proposal.
This allows the EA to retain their former its too much trouble stance
or the ~"you must not have any effect on the flow up or downstream"
justification I received in an email.
The rules set out Q95 as the determinant for an extraction licence,
the EA are just obstructive disingenuous fools like the local squires,
IMHO ;¬)
The lack of EA access to capital is also covered up by this undeclared
decision.
From my Peak Oil (and most other commodities) perspective a lack of
capital is a prime indicator of reaching the end of growth.
Richard is doing his own thing with planting fruit trees in recreation
areas in Turvey, he has obtained permission and will be taking forward
registration of a community interest company (CIC).
I have no confidence in Richard after his expressed opinion agreeing
with the 'squire', given that there were no costs envisaged - grants,
loans and shares issue would have been the finance.
This article neatly describes why in any case the fools will soon have
no resources to be stupidly superior with.

PhoneBox seems only interested in publishing gormless pointless
letters, my latest offerings have not appeared.
I have done my duty and am not going to have any contact with the
local councils again.
