GENTLE REMINDER FOR ALL LECTORS

Dear Ministers of the Word (Lectors),
Grace and peace in Christ!
First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your faithful, prayerful, and generous service to our parish. Your ministry as proclaimers of God’s Word is a sacred gift to the Church - a ministry that brings life, hope, and clarity to all who hear the Scriptures at Mass.
After prayerful consultation with Deacon Edwin Dava, our coordinator, and Chit de la Rama, our trainer, we discerned that it is both timely and important to gather all our lectors for a mandatory general meeting. This will be a time for us to come together as one community of ministers - to renew our understanding of the guidelines, reflect on the beauty and responsibility of our calling, and recommit ourselves to serving with reverence and love.
Whether you have been serving for many years or are newly commissioned, your presence is essential. Please choose one of the following sessions to attend:
- Sunday, October 5, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
or
- Saturday, October 25, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon
Light refreshments will be served, and I hope the time we spend together will be as enriching as it is necessary.
Kindly take note: If you are unable to attend either session, your name will, with regret, be removed from the active roster of lectors. Please understand that this is not meant as a punishment, but as a loving reminder that our ministry calls for ongoing formation, commitment, and community presence.
I look forward to seeing you soon as we continue to proclaim the Living Word and grow together in our shared mission of faith.
