Hello Laura,
Long time no see, things at the Olive Garden are going well, us gardeners have been regrouping a little this summer and trying to get a little more organized.

Here is an update on some of the changes that have occurred this Spring/Summer:

1. A few of the elderly Chinese did not returned this summer so Magda gave two new people keys to occupy two of these abandoned spots. I've met both of these individuals and collected their contact info, they seem very nice.

2.Julie and I are considering giving keys to a new neighbor who is interested in working on that abandoned corner plot , (the one that use to be shady before they cut the big tree down) I believe they will be a good addition to the garden because they are very young healthy and live right next door, they can help me move some of the bigger stuff around.

3. I helped a Polish friend of Magda's fix the bad leg of the gazebo, that was important because the thing was about to collapse, it will last awhile now.

4. I am going to attempt to open the compost bucket in order to get that working again...its been a year, could be nasty...pray for me.

5. As you may or may not know 2 years ago Julie and I were sorta pushed out of our original spot I constructed 4 years ago (Due to the large structures the Chinese made around us) We then moved to that shady spot in back near the gazebo but its very difficult to grow anything with so little sunlight. It has been noted that the group of high school girls that normally used that center spot in the bushes have not been in this year, (maybe they graduated?) Magda Julie and I have been keeping their rose bush alive, and Magda planted a little basil...If I may make a request to move to this spot next spring if the girls to not come back to use the spot.

Thats about it,
The only worry I have is a few people have started to use various spots that were not assigned to anyone. Its very difficult due to the language barrier to address this issue with the Chinese. I will do my best to help establish a little order when I can, so far things are looking fine.

Best,
Clinton King
