We are expecting a delivery of soil for Olive St garden on Thursday March 28, 2019. Not sure what time yet.

Is anyone available to receive the delivery?

Hi Lewis,

Thank you for offering to help! The GreenThumb Operations team has scheduled Olive Street Garden for a delivery of 7 yards of clean soil for Thursday 3/28 around 10:30AM-1PM, filling a request from last season. This will help replenish your garden beds with new soil in preparation for the growing season.

I know that your garden has a smaller gate so our truck cannot fit inside, so this delivery requires a sidewalk drop of the material. Two GreenThumb Operations team staff are able to help wheelbarrow material into the garden. It would be helpful to have at least two volunteers from Olive Street Garden to complete this delivery. Can anyone else join Lewis?

Hi all,

Great that there's a soil delivery coming!

I spoke with 260 Powers St. Apt. 5L resident Mr. Li, who will also be available Thursday 10:30am-1pm to help out. He is a senior, and speaks Chinese and conversational English, so he can assist with opening/closing the gate, indicating where soil should be placed. If needed, he can help with light physical work (e.g. raking or shoveling soil). KC, can you let the people delivering know to contact me at (917) 858-5443 when they are a few minutes away so I can inform Mr. Li to meet them at the garden?

Great, thanks so much to you both and to Mr. Li. We'll be all set to move forward with the delivery.

Lewis, it sounds like it may be best if you can give Betty a ring to contact Mr. Li when the delivery arrives since you'll be on-site. Does that work?

Please keep me posted how it goes. And please let me know if your garden group will need any assistance in building/repairing raised beds for the garden.
