ICMR International Research Fellowships
RE: Call for Applications
The International Center for Materials Research (ICMR) at UC Santa Barbara announces its Fall International Research Fellowship competition for the 2011-2012 academic year. ICMR International Research Fellowships support research visits to non-US laboratories for graduate students, post-docs and junior faculty affiliated with US Institutions. Typical durations are a few weeks to 3 months, with awards for travel and expenses of up to $5,000; we anticipate that the applicant will continue to receive their regular salary support from their home institution. Conference travel or sabbatical leaves are not supported. Our funding structures prioritizes collaborations with countries that are not in Western Europe.
AWARD: Up to $5,000 towards airfare, lodging, meals and incidental expenses
ELIGIBILITY: Graduate Students, Post-docs and junior faculty affiliated with US Institutions.
HOW TO APPLY: Please send a 1-page description of the collaboration, emphasizing the nature and motivation for the international component, a short CV and a letter of support from the advisor (for graduate students and post-docs) to the ICMR Program Coordinator, Ra Thea (rt...@icmr.ucsb.edu).
DEADLINE: The fall application deadline is October 31, 2011. Applicants will be notified in November, 2011
