Our first generation of learning activities are out.

http://nepal.ole.org/home/?q=node/70

http://fresh.homeunix.net/~luke/misc/etoys/demo/olenepal-demo-4.zip
(25 MB)

To run the demo you must first download the Squeak plugin, which is
available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. You can download it here
http://www.squeakland.org . Pls download, comment, and enjoy

The OLE Nepal Engineering and Design Team did a fantastic job. They are:

Programming:
Luke Gorrie
Surendra Sedain
Ram Krishna

Graphic Design:
Om Yadav

With Continual advice and support from educator Christine Stone

We have not licensed these activities yet but we expect to license them
under either the BSD License or the Squeak license, which is very
similar to BSD.

We have not yet determined the licenses for some of the images used in
the activities. Some may be proprietary. This is only a demo. After
Dashain we will go thru and make sure all the images are open-source

Good work guys. 3 cheers for you! I will let my nephew play with it. I am sure he will like it.

BTW, I have some good photographs from chitwan including rhinos, mountains, rivers, lakes and other interesting places from around Nepal that I took personally. If you want those photos, I can release them under any free license. I will provide you a flickr link soon.
