Many thanks to you all of you for helping to kick off this exciting
new group!

It's time to talk about our next meeting. With everyone's busy
schedules, would it work best to have a regularly scheduled meeting
each month? If so, which day would work best? (The only day that is
really out for me is the second Thursday of the month, when Inner City
Civic meets.)

Also, can we chart out a few topics for the next meetings? I'd love
to hear Ruth talk more about nematodes and natural pest control.
Other ideas?

I like the idea of a regular meeting. My preference would be not to
hold it the same week as the ICCA meeting and to hold it on a weekday
evening. The 3rd Thursday the someone suggested would work ok for
me.

Hi Leslie,
I am up for scheduled OR impromptu meetings, but cannot due the 3rd
Thurs of the month-already committed. '

Love the idea of spending half the time on personal gardens and half
on other projects. Hope I can make it work!

I'd prefer to have a regular meeting time so I can maximize my chances
of being there!! I'd also try to join any impromptu meetings.

I like the idea of mixing personal gardening and community projects.

If Ruth has tips on natural pest control, I'd love to hear them! Not
sure if this qualifies, but I seem to be having problems with what I
think is a fungus on my dogwood. Anybody having a similar problem? I
haven't had a chance to investigate much, such as asking the master
gardeners at the farmers market. Will report back if I find anything
interesting.

Also, I have a few gardening magazines from last month which I'll try
to remember to bring to the next meeting for anyone who is
interested.

Kelly,
I suggest asking a master gardener to come to a meeting and discuss your
dogwood as well as any other questions.

Great idea. I also took a sample of my dogwood to the Master Gardners
at the Extension office. For anyone who has never been there, it is a
great resource. You can call or stop in from 9-12. Here's the info.
