2012 Boston AIDS Walk: Why We Walk!

Dear Old South Brothers and Sisters,

Many people ask us why we walk for this cause and we thought we would
let our supporters know exactly why we do.

We walk because we have seen so many of our friends receive that lab
result that changed their lives forever. We walk in support of them.
We walk to let them know that they are not alone. We walk for future
generations, so that they may have a future free from this epidemic.
We walk for the memory of all who have died. We walk for those people
who do not have a voice and need our voice to be their voice. We walk
for the the scared teenager who will be able to get the counseling he
needs, or the rapid HIV test in 24 hours that you helped to pay for.
We walk because we believe everyone deserves a chance at LIFE!

We hope that you'll think about donating this year. Whether it's for
our reasons or some of your own. Your gift of $1.00 or $100.00 or
beyond makes all the difference. Every bit helps. Together we end
this
epidemic. Won't you join us?

In the words of Margaret Mead: "Never ever doubt that a small group
of
thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it is the
only thing that ever has."
