Dear Shawn,

Greetings!  George and I were able to finish the Aids Walk Boston for the 24th year.  It was HOT but a great inspiration and so grateful to be able to take part.  We were able to raise $1750.00 (and still coming in) between us, so also very grateful for generous friends and relatives.

We are looking forward to the Parade and walking with the group.  What is the plan this year?  We look forward to ushering at the service (just e-mailed Anthony on that) and then taking part in the Parade.

And please include us for the Pot Luck on Sunday after the services  (2).  We look forward to being able to participate in that joyful event!
We will bring something for six and something to drink....Thanks for organizing this.  And for all you do.
We will miss you terribly at Old South.  You are a great worship leader, joyful spirit, and faithful servant of God.  May God's blessing be fully restorative to you and offer you comfort, companionship, and always hope and grace as you move forward in your journey.

Best regards,
Ken
and George too

Subject: Boston Pride Weekend: Interfaith Service, Pride Parade, LGBTF Potluck

36th Annual LGBTQ Pride Interfaith Service

Saturday June 8th. 10:00 AM. Old South Church.

Old South Church will host the 36th annual LGBTQ Pride Interfaith Service – a joining of brothers and sisters from many faiths and traditions as we worship our extravagantly welcoming, still-speaking, many-gendered Creator with song, prayer, and celebration.

We will welcome special guest speaker Chris Stedman, author of Faitheist: How an Atheist Found Common Ground with the Religious.

Boston Pride Parade

Saturday, June 8. 11:30 AM. Old South Church.

Join us to walk in this year’s Pride Parade. We will meet in the Gordon Chapel immediately following the Pride Interfaith Service to walk to our place in the lineup together. The parade ends at City Hall Plaza in the heart of the Pride Festival. This year’s theme is “Moving Forward ... Proud, Strong, United.” All are welcome (including allies!) and encouraged to wear a red t-shirt.

For more details, visit bostonpride.org or email LG...@oldsouth.org.

Please Note: We will not have a vehicle this year. However for the third year in a row, Boston Pride, in cooperation with Super Duck Tours, will have an upper deck trolley in the Parade for those in the community who wish to participate in the parade but are physically unable to walk the  3.2mile route. Thanks to the donation from Super Ducks, the upper deck trolley can hold up to 32 folks plus 2 wheelchairs.

They will take registrations on a first come, first serve basis. Seating is limited so please send your seating request, full name and phone number to par...@bostonpride.org.

For anyone who signs up, Boston Pride will contact you by Thursday, June 6th with the location of the Boston Pride Trolley so that participants know where to go to board the vehicle.

LGBTF Pride Potluck

Sunday, June 9. 1:00 PM.

Join us following Festival Worship at the home of Richard Spada and Bob Childers in the South End. We will celebrate Boston Pride and welcome new Associate Minister Anthony Livolsi. Please bring a dish for six to share and a beverage. RSVP to LG...@oldsouth.org.
