Dear LGBT and Friends,

Boston Pride Week is starting as I write, and Old South is gearing up for our participation in the festivities.  Our vision calls for Old South to double in size over the next eight years.  There will be something like 30,000 people viewing the parade, and most of them won’t know that a church like Old South exists.  You do the math.

There are a bunch of ways you can participate, and we hope you will!

1. Friday the 10th at 6PM at Old South.  Help prepare signs, materials, and balloons for our presence in the Pride Parade.  Please RSVP to Quinn at qu...@oldsouth.org if you can come.

2. Saturday the 11th at 10AM: The 34th Annual Pride Interfaith Service.  Rev. Liz Walker, journalist and ordained minister, will preach.  Ken and Marcia Garber, parents from Quincy who became trans activists after their teenage trans son committed suicide, will receive the Pride Interfaith Award.

3. Saturday the 11th at 12 noon: Boston’s Pride Parade.  Gather with other Old Southers in the Gordon Chapel following the service, and we will walk to our place on Tremont Street together.  Or just come find us along the lineup.  Wear your Old South T-shirt (available at the front desk of the church); if you can’t, just wear something red instead. We need *YOU* there to make us look like the vibrant, beautiful church that we are, and to invite the world into life with God.  So c’mon!

If you have any questions or comments, let me know.

Blessings,

Quinn
