Many are busily getting on with developing scenarios. Keep that up, I'd expect scenarios to be being developed and re-developed throughout the week and you may not feel ready to share them yet, that's fine. When you are keep adding them to the scenario cloudscape and/or to the discussion thread.

Today we will also start to address context and investigate and discuss how to characterise context in ways that are useful for learning design.

What is important about context for learning design? (Short route 45+ mins) (Extended instructions)

1) Look at your own and others' scenariosWhat aspects of context do these scenarios include (or not include)? Why are these important for learning design? Brainstorm your thoughts, create a mindmap on paper or using your preferred tools, in a team or individually. You can copy and/or add to my mindmeister attempts if you like.

2) Look through these thoughts on context, design and learning. Are these useful with respect to your learning design project? Why? Why not? How? Add your own thoughts, make comments and join the discussion and refine and share your mindmap, or look for or create other representations of context and share.

3) Share and scan resources about contextual approaches to learning design and add others. Choose one or two to look at in more depth.

4) Summarise your current thoughts about context for learning design in a short post on your learning journal and come back to the discussion.
