Not quite what we expected..

Dear OLDS MOOC participants,

Thank you to all those who tried to join the launch, well done to those who managed and our sympathy and apologies to those who did not succeed. We realise that it is very frustrating to make the effort to join a live event, and then be confronted with technical barriers that bar you from participation. We have close to 1000 people on this list, and we know that about 400 managed to join in the live stream on stadium, but many more were trying to watch the stream on youtube, cloudwords or stadium - so we should plan for this scale in future events. Our technical team is focusing on analysing the problems we had and making sure they don't reappear in the future.

The MOOC itself officially starts tomorrow, but we're already seeing some interesting activity on twitter and on the open discussion list, have a look at:
