Dear OLDSMOOCers,

This is it - the last OLDS MOOC facilitator message. It's over. And what a ride..

The OLDS MOOC team would like to thank each and every one of you for your confidence, patience, support and participation. As you probably gathered, the topic of this MOOC was something we all share a great passion for - and are grateful for the opportunity you gave us to share this passion with you. We hope you enjoyed the experience, and that its benefits will stay with you and contribute to your future endeavours. We were amazed by the dedication and participation many showed, and impressed by your achievements.

As we said: everything produced for this MOOC and by this MOOC is here to stay open, free and available for you to use as you please. We will be very grateful if you share back with us any derivative works, or any experiences from using these resources, but that's up to you. Of course, if you want to see OLDS MOOC run again - any evidence of impact will help us make the case for that.

We are also really interested to hear about your experience of the OLDS MOOC. We know that people will study open online courses in different ways, so whether you worked on every week, dipped in and out, or didn’t get further than the first week, we would be really keen to hear from you. The end of MOOC survey is at: http://tinyurl.com/OLDSMOOC-Survey

And finally, feel free to revisit the activities and cover any gaps you left behind, and continue any thread of discussion you find interesting on the open list. We might close that for new members sometime in the future but in the meanwhile - we will leave it as is. Remember: it's not too late to apply for your badges, and do check out who's waiting for your approval for the "crowdsourced" badges: http://cloudworks.ac.uk/badge/applications

We have definitely learnt a lot from this experience and will look forward to hearing more about your experiences from the end of course survey. We  will share our lessons with you in due course.

So - farewell, but not goodbye!

From the OLDS MOOC Team
