What are the MOOCing literacies and what should there be badges for?

Seriously, navigation (pathfinders' badge?) seems to me to be a very important one.

I've never cared about badges in previous MOOCs. The first impression was to consider it too childish. This time I decided to follow more closely the course and keep on track. I don't know if applying to badges means you have learnt more at the end. Perhaps it may guide you to be more disciplined and go through more thoroughly since it requires that you provide evidence to earn the badge. It's a simbolic prize winner and we all can be winners.
