Brian Friel's Dancing at Lughnasa

A haunting memory play of a long-ago summer, Dancing at Lughnasa
transports us to a small cottage in County Donegal in 1936 Ireland. The last scenes of the Mundy clan, shot through with love and loss, emerge out of the mists of lost time just before the family breaks apart forever. The play is filled with dance and music; the dreamy songs of the 30s, the driving beat of Irish reels. In this movement
and rhythm, memory lives, and we are gently swept away by its haunting, golden spell.
