I have one post card that I find particularly interesting It is Frans
Hals (Dutch, 1582/3-1666). Willem van Heythuysen un written, un sent
and numbered 179, the print I believe is in dutch or german, I am not
certain of the paper but it looks very old.
I have it in a protective plastic covering and the only flaw I can see
is the upper left corner has a small ware so small you almost cannot
see it.
Frans Hals was the great 17th-century portraitist of the Dutch
bourgeoisie of Haarlem, where he spent practically all his life. Hals
evolved a technique that was close to impressionism in its looseness,
and he painted with increasing freedom as he grew older. I would love
to know it's value if anyone knows where I might find out.
