Shaft and propeller:
Propeller shaft and sterntube general:
Each propeller shaft passes through the sterntube and is supported by a water lubricated rubber sleeve bearing at the aft side and at the fore side by a grease lubricated bronze bearing with a sealing gland.
Each of the shaft bearings will be in the skeg for ice protection.
Fixed pitch propeller:
The propellers are made of nickel-aluminium-bronze.
The propeller mounted inside a steel nozzle, to give protection from floating blocks of ice while increasing thrust as the ship pushes its way through the ice.
The propeller blades designed in accordance with the icebreaker class.
Propeller nozzle:
The propeller nozzle is strongly fixed in the aft ship construction. The inner ring of the nozzle is made of steel. The nozzle's cross section is for improved performance.
Steering /Rudder installation:
Two high performance type streamlined double plate rudders are supported in a step bearing welded to the sole piece. The rudder and the rudder stock are interconnected by a bolted horizontal flange coupling. This flange coupling allows easy removal of the rudder. The upper and lower bearings of the rudder stock are grease lubricated cast iron bushes. Rudder stops are fitted outside on the hull. A hand-operated device for grease lubrication is installed.
Rudder Blades:
Rudder blades (2 off each on nozzle) are to be single plate with a powered/servo hydraulic steering gear with manual emergency mode operable from the aft deck through an access port and connecting rod. Rudders controls (normal and emergency mode) panel and rudder angle indicator will be located on the wheelhouse.
2 pieces of halogen projectors, 400W; a “search light” projector placed above the wheelhouse. The command of projectors is from the control unit.

When the drydock was ABS classed it was rated at 44,000 tons with 3-inch freeboard. In about 2000, the owners withdrew the drydock from class as it was no longer required.
The drydock is presently operating with a U.S. Navy certificated rating of 35,000 tons with 18-inch freeboard.
In support of the sale of the 35K FDD, the following timeline has been established:
• Inspection of the FDD at San Diego, California can be arranged through the end of February 2025.
• For offers to be considered they must be received by March 31st, 2025
• Offers shall include the following:
◦ Proposed buy price and any associated terms
◦ Copy of the Sales Agreement with mark-ups, if any.
◦ Detailed plan for removal of the FDD no later than July 1st, 2025.

Dry Dock #2
Dry Dock #2 is a single section steel floating dry dock. The structural analysis and design of the dry dock was performed by Earl and Wright, Consulting Engineers of San Francisco and was constructed by the Bethlehem Steel Corporation at their San Francisco Yard in 1970.
This dry dock can best be described as a rigid unit type dock with continuous pontoon and wing walls. An 18-foot wide buoyancy chamber runs full length down the centerline of the pontoon, and a safety deck is located port and starboard at a height of 58'-6” in each wingwall. At 40-foot intervals down the length of the dock is located watertight transverse bulkheads, running from buoyancy chamber to safety deck. These subdivide the pontoon and wingwall into forty (40) ballast compartments, twenty (20) on each side.

Most Recent Certification Loads: 68 long tons (LT2) per foot or 55,800 LT total There are 4 transformers on dry dock 2, two on each side in the safety deck. Two (one per side) are for dry dock pumps and machinery (house
power) and approx. 1600 amps shore power. Two (one per side) are for 4000-amp 480-volt shore power per side for a total of 8000 amps. These were installed in 2012 at a cost of $5.1 million to accommodate the newer ships which required 8000 amps, additionally the original house/machinery PCB filled transformers were replaced as part of the 2012 shore power upgrade.

Eureka Dry Dock
The “Eureka” dry dock, formerly known as “Steadfast” (AFDM 14), was built by Pollock-Stockton Shipbuilding in Stockton, California. The dock was completed in July of 1945. The dock is a Frederick Harris design three-piece welded steel sectional dock capable of self-docking.
At the time of construction, the dock was designated as YFD 71 and rated capable of lifting a maximum ship of 17,500 long tons. On February 1, 1983, the dock was reclassified as an AFDM. The dock was operated at the Naval Station in San Diego, California before it was obtained by the city of San Francisco in 1998. The dock was previously operated by BAE Systems but has been non-operational as of 2016.

Shaft and propeller:
Propeller shaft and sterntube general:
Each propeller shaft passes through the sterntube and is supported by a water lubricated rubber sleeve bearing at the aft side and at the fore side by a grease lubricated bronze bearing with a sealing gland.
Each of the shaft bearings will be in the skeg for ice protection.
Fixed pitch propeller:
The propellers are made of nickel-aluminium-bronze.
The propeller mounted inside a steel nozzle, to give protection from floating blocks of ice while increasing thrust as the ship pushes its way through the ice.
The propeller blades designed in accordance with the icebreaker class.
Propeller nozzle:
The propeller nozzle is strongly fixed in the aft ship construction. The inner ring of the nozzle is made of steel. The nozzle's cross section is for improved performance.
Steering /Rudder installation:
Two high performance type streamlined double plate rudders are supported in a step bearing welded to the sole piece. The rudder and the rudder stock are interconnected by a bolted horizontal flange coupling. This flange coupling allows easy removal of the rudder. The upper and lower bearings of the rudder stock are grease lubricated cast iron bushes. Rudder stops are fitted outside on the hull. A hand-operated device for grease lubrication is installed.
Rudder Blades:
Rudder blades (2 off each on nozzle) are to be single plate with a powered/servo hydraulic steering gear with manual emergency mode operable from the aft deck through an access port and connecting rod. Rudders controls (normal and emergency mode) panel and rudder angle indicator will be located on the wheelhouse.
2 pieces of halogen projectors, 400W; a “search light” projector placed above the wheelhouse. The command of projectors is from the control unit.

On behalf of our direct/close shipbuilder here in Türkiye, we are currently looking for buyers who have interest in 15M NEWBUILD FAST RESPONSE FIRE FIGHTING & RESCUE BOAT as is where is delivery basis for the firefighting and rescue operations.
The Boat is equipped to transport 1 helmsman + 3 crew and 2 survivors in wheelhouse.
The Boat is designed in accordance with the following criteria:
