I have always accessed the My Servers plugin through the navbar in my server's GUI, and never bothered to bookmark it. Today my server went down again and after some digging, I am confident my USB Flash drive has failed and needs to be replaced. I have periodically downloaded backups from My Servers, so worst case I have a slightly out of date config I can restore, but it would be nice to grab the latest backup from My Server.

I have been debating parts for weeks now. Below is what I have come up with. It will mainly be used as a Plex server and media storage with a few containers running to support plex/media. I only have 1-2 streams at a time. (only serving the immediate family.) Running this all on a NUC and Synology DS713+ now. Looking to get more storage space. (DS713+ was 2 bay NAS and I was mirroring 8TB drives) I am also looking to add some more 4k content. I don't get the opportunity to build PCs often. Is there anything I missed or could have done better?

===Optional step for secure local access=== If you want to use securehttps for local access to your server as well, navigate to Settings ->Management Access. In the CA-signed certificate area, if there are nowarnings about DNS Rebinding then go ahead and set Use SSL/TLS toStrict. If there are warnings about DNS Rebinding see A noteregarding DNS RebindingProtection.

Note that once SSL is set to Strict, your client computers will needaccess to DNS in order to access your server. This means if yourInternet connection drops you will likely lose access to your server'swebgui. See How to access your server when DNS isdown.

Unraid is a proprietary Linux-based operating system designed to run on home media server setups that operates as a network-attached storage device, application server, and virtualization host. Unraid is proprietary software developed and maintained by Lime Technology, Inc. Users of the software are encouraged to write and use plugins and Docker applications to extend the functionality of their systems.

Unraid uses the Linux kernel and its filesystems. It most notably contains a greatly modified version of Linux md facilities named md_unraid.[4] The source code is distributed as part of the USB system image and is visible in the Unraid OS in /usr/src. binwalk can be used to extract the file from bzroot without booting.

Neither works. I solved this by downgrading to 6.11.5. Running the older version, the shares can be mapped. Interesting that the server still does not show up as a computer, but accessibility to the shares is all I care about for now. I will wait a bit for another attempt at going back to 6.12.0 and apply the fixes mentioned in this thread.

There is another, perhaps even simpler option: you already have an alway-on Linux server. Install rclone, mount or sync your Dropbox folder there, and run duplicacy to backup that folder to backup destination on your unraid.

Good Day,
I am having lots of problems with running UrBackup in a Docker container on an UnRaid Server.
As info, this is my 5th UrBackup server install, and have not had any issues at all, until now.
However, this IS my first one running as a docker container, which may (or may not) be the entire source of my issues.
I have scoured this forum and many others without any luck on finding a solution, I created an account here so that I can hold my hat in my hand and ask for assistance.

I will add that there are 2 UrBackup docker apps in the UnRaid app store:
1 maintained by Masterwishx, from the uroni/urbackup-server repository
1 maintained by Binhex from the binhex/arch-urbackup repository

I am trying to create a volume for my docker applications. My docker application would need to access a folder that is located on a unraid server (SMB). I can access my remote folder from my windows 10 computer using a VPN. Note the the server is located on a different IP address as my local computer.

First off, apologies if this has already been written about. Most of my searches are dominated by using rclone ON an unraid server. However, this post is specifically about using an unraid server as an rclone backend (so other servers can sync to it).

In previous thread you have posted an image where you are looking in /var/www/onlyoffice/documentserver. This makes me think that you are missing one step before finding the config - you need to look for /etc/onlyoffice/documentserver/default.json inside the Docker container with Document Server.
In general, once logged in to the terminal of machine where Document Server via Docker is installed, you need to execute docker ps to enlist all running containers, then connect to Document Server container with docker exec -it [ID] bash specifying ID of container with Document Server and then look for the config.

When I have the terminal running, I ran the docker ps command. It did show all the running docker containers. I then proceed to use command docker exec -it [ID] bash and by replacing the [ID} by the container ID. I am now logged into the console for the onlyoffice/documentserver docker container.

I then used the cd command to enter the following path you provided to me: cd /etc/onlyoffice/documentserver/and found the default.json file!
One thing that makes me confused that I have seen that some users use:/etc as a reference for YOUR own path. But now I learned something new that there is a directory call: /etc
That is why I was looking at /var/www/onlyoffice/documentserver to find the default.json file.

I have rebuilt my UnRAID server on the AMD 3700X platform and consolidated all of my individual network appliances onto this server, therefore I am now unable to turn off UnRAID. It is now running Home Assistant Core and all of the containers associated with Home Assistant, my Firewall and, other home resources such as cloud backup and Plex

Unraid server is set to IP automatic. Omada is set to fixed IP for the Unraid MAC address. Server boots and gets a random IP instead of the fixed one set. However I don't have the problem with vlan1 which is for cameras, the fixed IP works there. Did you test your bug fix a system with multiple vlans? does it work for each vlan when setting a fixed IP?

If you have built computers in the past or live in a household with multiple computers, you may want to build a NAS (Network Attached Storage) to provide storage accessible to all machines on the network. This can be used to run a media server, a game server, or simply a file server.

In this article, we will talk about how you effectively plan an Unraid build so you can avoid some common mistakes during the journey. Some hardware will be recommended for your build, and some good considerations for the server's future to ensure you don't build yourself into a corner. Some great resources for going further with your Unraid server will also be shared to keep you learning.

So now you should be close to having your Unraid server running or planning how to build one. For the future of your server, you can upgrade it or modify it more for your needs, so check out some of these great resources for educational content on administering Unraid.

You should now have a better idea of how you can build a NAS based on the Unraid OS. By planning your build and ensuring it is fit for your purpose, you should have a much easier time setting it up, using it, and expanding it in the future. If you're looking to build your homelab or Unraid server, check out the following link for some HBA cards you can use to expand your NAS storage capability.

NFS is a popular protocol for sharing files across Unix and Linux systems. Today we are going to take a look at how to set up an unRAID NFS server and deploy it behind a firewall or access control list (ACL).

However, because Unraid boots from a USB to RAM, this installation will not be persistent. To make sure that Docker-Compose gets installed every time the server boots, follow the following steps from this forum post.

obico-server can now be installed on your Unraid server the same way as the normal Linux method found on the [README.md]. However, I would recommend installing it in a directory other than the root home folder (/root/) as this data is not persistent between restarts. Either create a share specifically for obico-server or install it in an existing share, I recommend /mnt/user/appdata/obico-server. Here is the following command to do so.

Navigate to port 3334/admin on your server. For the following steps we will use tower.local as the server address with the root IP address as 192.168.1.10. Navigate to tower.local:3334/admin and log in with ro...@example.com and password supersecret

Go to the non-admin site of the container by navigating to tower.local:3334 and log in with the same credentials of ro...@example.com/supersecret. Add a printer and install Obico on the Octoprint instance, setting the Server Address in OctoPrint to your server address:port like :3334, then copy/paste the secret token in the correct location.

To get email notifications working, go back to the Unraid terminal and navigate to the obico-server installation directory with cd /mnt/user/appdata/obico-server. Copy dotenv.example to .env, and open .env with nano .env. You will need an app-specific password for your email if you use 2-factor authentication.
