I've just discovered the Okopipi project and I'd like to give it/you a
hand. As I'm quite uncompetent in programming, my only help could be to
translate into French informations and try to spread over the project
in French websites.
But I'm wondering if the former would be relevent, provided there isn't
any beta yet.
So what's your opinion ? Is it too soon ?
Are there other people willing to translate into whatever language ?
Bye !
Also there will be tons of documentation and parts of the website to
translate... So stick around we could use you soon. Keep an eye on the
communications comittee as thats were you will be.
I've discovered okopipi through a French website, so I guess at least
some people know about it.
I may try to find others frenchies willing to translate along, we might
start with the wikipedia pages right now ?
I've picked your email in the Okopipi "Volunteers sign up here " thread
where you have offered to do some translation work. It's far too soon
to spread around in outside websites the Okopipi project, but the
translation of the wiki pages should be started as soon as possible, so
I'm asking if you're still in, as I hope :-)
See you soon !

I'm not boasting or whatever, but I dont' want it to appears as a black
operation or an attempt to take over a single bit of power...
To use it, you can simply put {{Translations|Wiki_Page_Name}} at the
end of the page, and it'll automatically create links to different
language translations (beautification is welcome). You can see how
this works on my user page (http://wiki.okopipi.org/wiki/

For the moment, we are one Spanish, one Russian, two French;
translations will start as soon as possible.

I was about to ask a very stupid question about the strange ways
MediaWiki works, but I've just solved the problem (by the way, somebody
should delete this page :
http://wiki.okopipi.org/wiki/Wiki_Page_Name/fr)
So I guess I'll just say hello, I'm the other french guy. About
spreading the word, I don't know if I should wait or not, but I think
I'll write something about Okopipi on my website one of these days.
Beyond Okopipi's concept, I'm pretty interested in community management
and online collaboration. That's also why I wanted to be a part of this
project, and I suppose I'll publish articles in french about its
evolution from time to time.
See you and long live the poisonous amphibian!
