I'd like to discuss spam if anyone is still interested

While I would like to make spammers feel pain, that approach may not
be the best way. I think that Zoemail.com has the right idea, but
perhaps not the best solution for everyone, since it's a hosted, paid
service.

I'd like to discuss it if anyone is interested, either on or off this
list.

I'm still here :)

Zoemail sounds similar to Boxbe. However, I think the right idea is not filtering, but reporting and/or leeching.  Right now I report all my spam to SpamCop, KnujOn, and the Australian SpamMATTERS program. I would like to report to Castlecops SIRT as well, but they haven't enabled email submissions yet and I report using the gKnujon/gSpamcop scripts available here.

SpamItBack! is also a great idea on the leeching side, but it hasn't been updated in years so therefore I don't bother to use it.

I haven't been following this for a while, but why was the blue frog
idea not possible in a decentralized way again?
