Scouting and guiding is an important part of our co-curricular activities as well as our curriculum. The school children undergo all the levels of examination conducted by Bharath Scout and Guide. The students who passed the first level of Jilla Puraskar exam can apply for Rajya Puraskar exam. This year 20 scouts and 24 guides from our school got the Rajya Puraskar certificates from our school.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor lauded all the scouts and guides who have successfully completed their Rajya Puraskar and said that the Foundation Day serves as a reminder of the vision and foresight of its founders, who recognised the potential of scouting and guiding in shaping the lives of the youth.
Meghalaya Chief Secretary, D P Wahlang in his address heaped praise on the scouts and guides for their hard work, perseverance, and determination in the completion of their Rajya Puraskar and also congratulated all the mentors who have played a major role in motivating, inspiring and shaping the young Scouts and Guides in moving forward despite many challenges.
