Logitech TrackMan through walls

Hello

I'm interested in using the Logitech TrackMan (live) as a special purpose
remote control. Logitech says that the device should work up to a distance
of 10m (30ft) without "pointing at the computer". Now, my question is: Does
this device also work if there are objects like a wall or a door between
the TrackMan and the receiver?
Does anybody own a Logitech TrackMan (live) and could test this?
Does anybody just know anything about that?
