No, it does not require telnet being installed. Telnet is just a tool
to test if the port is open for a remote connection. In the next
version, I will add a test button to diagnose connection problem.
Shouldn't have expected all users to be IT experts 8-)
For windows 7 and vista, I think telnet is a windows feature can be
enabled in windows components. It is disabled by default as the tool
can be used by hacker to expose some security risk.
