PLEASE CONFIRM ONCE YOU HAVE EMAILED. NEED TO SEND TODAY!!!
Dear NAME OF LEGISLATIVE DIRECTOR,
Thank you for taking time to participate in immigration discussions this week which is very critical for excelling America. We are very happy and grateful to see these discussions to resolve immigration issues in this country once and for all.
As we understand the importance of all the topics discussed about immigration and amendments proposed, we would sincerely request Senator's office to also support high skilled immigration reform through the amendments included by Sen. Orrin Hatch and Sen. Rand Paul.
Sen. Orrin Hatch has introduced amendment immigration proposals (1960,1961,1962,1963 and 1964) which are aimed exclusively at reforming skill based immigration, they remove country caps on employment based categories. This proposal has bipartisan support and 313 cosponsors in House of Representatives(HR392). It also aims to not just provide high-skilled immigrants a fair chance at becoming permanent residents in reasonable time frame and make even more contributions to this country, but also ushers in reforms to the visa system that prevents abuses, significantly improves the wages and helps build an American workforce with strong STEM skills.
Sen. Rand Paul has introduced amendment (#1952) immigration proposal to explicitly exempt spouses & children of employer-sponsored immigrants from the employment based green card quota. Currently US is rare immigrant friendly nations that doesn't exempt dependents from skill based quota, as a result only 6% of 1 million immigrant visas are issued based to primary applicants instead of 14% that is allocated for employment based immigration.
On behalf of over 300K+ families across America, I request Senator to support the immigration proposals having bipartisan support that reforms high skilled immigration as they come up for voting.
We are legal high-skilled applicants from donor nations like India, China and Philippines with advanced degrees, many from US universities, today are suffering in up to 25-92 years employment-based green card backlogs. We are facing the worst possible effects of a broken and obsolete immigration system despite making several economic, social and cultural contributions to the United States for decades. Our dependent kids age-out at 21 and have to self deport or start immigration process all over again via lottery. They are Dreamers too, and need your urgent attention as each year thousands face age-out and forced to leave only country they have ever known and call home.
Please let us know if you’ve any questions. Looking forward to hearing back from you.
Sincerely,
