MINUTES

April 20, 2009

Meeting was called to order by male co-chair Paul Thompson at 7:07
pm.


Motion by Miles Tompkins, second by Dean Crawford, to approve the
agenda. Motion passed.


Motion by Ryan Smith, second by Miles Tompkins to approve the
minutes. Motion passed.


Treasurer’s report: Total funds on hand $5779.29.


Co-chair: No report


Committee Reports


Festival: Dell is a $1000.00 sponsor. We are trying to find a way to
count how many people are at our events. Motion by Kirk Martin,
second by Ryan Smith, to send this issue back to committee. Motion
passed.


Entertainment: No report.


Parade: a proposal was submitted recommending rental of the radios we
use at our events. Motion by Ryan Smith, second by Dean Crawford to
table this issue until all the budgets are in. Motion passed.


Volunteer/Membership: First volunteer meeting was held March 30th.
We still need volunteers on the parade route and medics. Miles is
still trying to fit our volunteers with the needs we have. Still
looking at venues for the volunteer appreciation party. Next meeting
is 4/27/09 at 7pm at the Belle Isle IHOP.


Fundraising: money was turned in from selling jello shots, t-shirts,
and a raffle. $500.00 sponsorship was received from Habana Inn. Next
events are 5/1 test tube shooters at Phoenix rising, 5/2 a benefit
show at Wreck Room, 5/3 a benefit show at Tramps. 5/8 & 5/9 jello
shots at Copa, and 5/22, 5/23, & 5/24 jello shots at Copa. Next
meeting is on 4/22/09 at Applebee’s on Memorial at 7pm.


PR: Miles & Jessica will complete the newsletter obligations. Need
all sponsor names for a poster and possible Pride Guide. $30.00 has
been paid to Godaddy.com for our domain names. Please make sure all
press releases and radio spots are sent to Guy so he can put them on
the website. Motion by Ryan Smith, second by Jessica Cook to appoint
Nathan Thompson as OKC Pride Press Liaison. Motion passed. A copy of
OKC Prides official statement to Gossip Boy regarding recent issues
was presented. Also a list of recommendations was presented. The
next PR meeting is to be announced.


Website: No report


Teen/Student: the car wash was cancelled due to the weather. Will
work on rescheduling. 4/25 from 10-4 we will be car hopping at
Sonic. There is a benefit show at Wreck room on 5/2. Next meeting is
4/27.


39th Street: Met with the police and we have the sound permit until
11pm. Tramps is going to block off their parking lot. We are looking
at maybe having a dunk tank and other vendors.


Bylaws: No report


Old Business


Interpride: Postponed until Guy Peters is at the meeting.


New Business


Motion by Miles Tompkins, second by Ryan Smith, to approve the list of
recommendations by the PR committee except for #7. Motion passed.
List of recommendations is attached.


Motion by Dean Crawford, second by Miles Tompkins, to appoint Ryan
Smith as Bylaws chair. Motion passed.


Ryan Smith spoke to the audience about the allegations that a bylaws
chair had been appointed at a secret meeting. He told everyone that
this did not happen and that there had been no secret meetings.


Announcements

Ann Walker from Sordid Lives has expressed interest in being our Grand
Marshall.

TJ will be out of commission until 5/4/09.

The Tax Commission is holding a hearing on a license plate issue on
5/7/09 at 1:30 pm.

passed.
