BOARD MEETING
JUNE 15/09

Members present: Dean Crawford, Paul Thompson, Latricia Olmstead,
Chris Plante, Tammy Ince, Kirk Martin, Nathan Thompson, Todd Clark,
Patricia Miller, Keith Kimmel, Glen Lovin, Jessica Cook, Scott
Jaggers, Miles Tompkins, John Gibbons, Sally Blevins

Guests: Jonathan Lee, Chuck Longacre, Holly Busch, Chelsea Britt

Meeting called to order by Paul Thompson at 7:15pm.

Comments from members: none

Secretary's report: Motion by Miles Tompkins with second by Chris
Plante to accept minutes as written. Motion passed.

Treasurer's report: We have $8,451.90 in the bank with $2,965.00 in
deposits to be made. Chris Plante is now able to sign checks.

Co-chair report: Park permits have been paid. Power poles have
already been installed. We paid a $500.00 deposit to the park. Paul
has received a couple of calls about the festival being cancelled.

Committee Reports

Festival: We will have kettle corn at the festival. The ATM machine
is still an issue. TJ has turned away about 25 vendors since the
deadline passed.

Entertainment: no report

Parade: 5 or 6 groups showed up for the orientation meeting. The
parade is coming together.

Volunteers/Membership: Miles needs info about Opening Night.

T-shirt/Fundraising: T-shirts will be here on Thursday. Opening
Night is coming up on 6/22 at Copa. We have a meet and greet with
Ruby Ann Boxcar at Tramps on 6/26 at 6 pm. We have an idea of maybe
having a block party in the Fall in Angle's parking lot. We will be
selling Jello on 8/18 at Copa.

Public Relations: The ads for Gazette and City Sentinel have been
delivered. Todd was able to secure some donated tickets from Lyric
Theatre for Little Shop of Horros for the silent auction for Opening
Night. Katherine Oliver will take pictures of the Pride events.

Website: There will be changes made after Pride.

Teen/Student: John Gibbons was able to secure Head BBQ for the
party. There will be no DJ. Target might donate drinks. Need
Christmas lights, tape, and zip ties. Motion by Chris Plante with
second by Scott Jaggers to pay up to $100.00 for security for the teen
party. Motion passed.

39th Street: Pemit to close the streets was approved. Neep people
with trucks to help on Friday. Motion by Dean Crawford with second by
Chris Plante to approve $755.00 for 39th Street expenses. Motion
passed.

Bylaws: no report

Old Business

Motion by Tammy Ince with second by Miles Tompkins to approve $50.00
for arts and crafts for the children's area at the festival.

Zoo—contract has been delivered to the zoo.

New Business

Motion by Dean Crawforfd with seocnd by John Gibbons to have next
meeting on 7/13/09. Motion passed. Motion by Guy Peters with second
by Kirk Martin to hold the next meeting at The Boom. Motion passed.

Motion by Scott Jagger with second by Latricia Olmstead to approve
$1000.00 for entertainment. Motion passed.

Discussion about the billboard on 39th street. It was discovered that
Expressions church is going to advertise on that billboard.

Video—Keith Kimmel will be videoing the parade.

Leather Pride night is 6/19/09 at the Days Inn.

Motion to adjourn by Dean Crawford with second by Guy Peters. Motion
passed.
