iThems location should be off line now, I've gone and spoken to CoCo about hosting both JUG and Droid meetings and their facility is pretty good but Derick has been out of town and hasn't provided an agreement yet.

I'd be interested in Josh's ActionBar/UI elements demo if it's possible. Also may be a comparison between Android and iOS development.

theDiv is gone but as far as I know the iThemes conference room may be available for us.

 

I'll have someone (Shelley Barnes) talk to us about her experiences writting one iOS app. Maybe we can make our own comparisons? Her app is for tracking Girl Scout cookie sales. I wrote an Android version that is close to what hers does. I have written around 30 ios apps and 4 android apps (mostly ports of the ios versions). If i can make the meeting (when is it?), I could help field any questions on the iOS side or provide a little more input on dev between them.

Colbey - that would be great! Maybe you could do the comparison presentation? I'm sure Shelley wouldn't be offended (probably relieved).

 

Our meetings are on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 11:30. So this month, it will be on August 16th. I am trying to find out if we can use the iThemes conference room again. If not, we'll probably be at okccoco.

We are not going to be able to meet at iThemes this month.

 

So, I'm thinking of trying to get a room at one of these places:

•  okccoco
• Francis Tuttle at NW 122nd and Rockwell
• Edmond Public Library
• conference room at some head hunters location

 Any other suggestions? Preferences?
