Dear all,
Okapi 1.49 has this great new feature:
https://okapiframework.org/wiki/index.php/OpenXML_Filter#Configuring_Size_Constraints
Configuring Size Constraints
This section describes the behavior of the "Target Columns Max Characters" option in worksheet configurations. This behavior is changing in 1.49.0.
What allows to define different length restrictions for each row in a spreadsheet based on another column in the same spreadsheet.
It says in the documentation
In 1.49.0, this legacy method is still supported, but has been augmented with a dynamic system that allows you to:
- specify any of the four size properties (max/min width, max/min height), not just maxwidth;
- choose the unit (characters, pixels, points, percent, ...); and
- drive the constraints from data in the spreadsheet itself, so that each row — or even each cell — can carry a different constraint.
But it does not tell somewhere, how the four size properties (max/min width, max/min height) can be specified in the speard sheet and also not how the unit can be specified.
Can someone explain that? I would than volunteer to amend the documentation.
Thank you very much for this great new feature!
best
Marc
Hi Chase,
thank you very much for your input!
I did just amend the doc.
https://okapiframework.org/wiki/index.php/OpenXML_Filter#XLSX:_Dynamic_extraction_constraints
Maybe someone could check it again, if everything is correct?
Thank you very much everyone for a great job!
best
Marc
