IDML: Index and variables not translatable in Okapi?

Dear all,

I checked this now carefully with Indesign itself and the latest Okapi
version 1.41.

It looks to me, that Index entries (those, that are used to recreate an
Index) and text variables in Indesign are not extracted for translation
with Okapi.

Can someone tell me, if my analysis is right?

And if it is: Could someone point me to a developer, who could help to
implement this in Okapi?
