Our client, a unique premier online e-commerce consumer goods company, is looking to attract a talented Sr. Software Engineer – Front End candidate to join their technology team.

This position will offer flexible work hours and a work remote location!
You will be working from your own HOME OFFICE. You do NOT need to live in San Francisco and you would NOT need to relocate.

Those looking to manage a large software engineering staff in a traditional corporate setting need not apply, nor anyone with back to back short term positions on their resume. Candidates should be available to interview in San Francisco or South West Florida. This is NOT a contract position and our client is NOT looking to hire a consultant. You would be a company employee.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain current code base and technologies.
• Analyze current and new product requirements.
• Collaborate on design.
• Implement solutions using HTML, DHTML, Javascript/AJAX/jQuery, PHP, CSS, Flash and XML.
• Write comprehensive documentation.
Requirements:
• BS or MS in Computer Science or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of designing and implementing mission-critical web solutions.
• Be able to hand code HTML and CSS.
• Highly skilled with DHTML, JavaScript and DOM, with AJAX and Flash experience a big plus.
• MUST be familiar with UNIX/LINUX development environment.
• Knowledge of webservers (apache, AOLserver) and database systems (mysql, solid, sql).
• Programming/scripting ability (bash, perl, tcl, php, cron, Ruby, Python, etc).
• Candidates with Ruby, Python or php are strongly desired.
• Articulate, with good writing skills.
• Maintain a calm, professional demeanor and work well with others.
• Comfortable working in a small work group environment, as well as on your own.
• Desire for long term employment and commitment.
• Preference in developing stable environments rather than bleeding-edge ones.
• Familiar with, and enjoy the dynamics of e-commerce.
