I also find it amusing that for the second time I held up an open
challenge for him to tell who he imagines I am,for him to go and see
the 'worthless' property my family owns, for him to present me with
actual facts to what makes me 'dumber' than him.Once again he
cowered, turned tail, ran and never met me on any of my challenges
either. I know he is all talk and too weak to actually go through with
anything, but it is still fun seeing how many times he will bark with
false bravado. he!

Fact number one(1) three years with no problems..I have people tell me their

If what we ask is such little effort for you then why are you so
evading doing it? It would certainly offer you a chance to show your
supposed superiority to us if you simply do as we are challenging.
By the by,another skirted issue, many monthsago you souted forth a
bunch of ignorance by claiming you could find my number, get past my
caller id and my answering machine to get me to answer. Have you tried
and failed because I am much smarter than you take me for and you
could not get a live person or have you turned tail and ran cowering
on this past chalenge too? we will dog you Ivan until you hold true on
all your alleged claims. We have you on the line, just like a Marlin we
will play you til you tire and are forced to hold true to your claims.
After all a claim is just a pack of lies unless you can back it up.
Everything I have said I can back up many times oveer but since you
claim to know me I challenge you to state who I am and what my family

I never stated it was a problem, unlike you I can back my claims and
are not scared to. and by my lack of childish name calling I say my
English s far better than yours. But by simple fact I speak more
languages than you I showe false claim to your childish injection of
me being 'stupid'.
Here is a challenge. It is very simple so one supposedly smarter
than me can figure it easy. What does this mean in English: bBah
C'mon, what does that say and in what language? It is very simple,I
learned it my first day studying this language.

If it isn't set up correctly or something (god forbid) breaks, yeah, cable
will go offline just as will DSL if something goes wrong. Dialup
connections are lost generally due to one or the other modem "timing out" on
any of a variety of internal registers. Even -bad- cable connection
behaves -at least- as well as your DSL, and much better than your DSL
is -typical-. DSL suffers from many limitations that just -are not there-
for cable.

1. DSL requires -much more- set up than does cable.
2. DSL requires that the user be within 12000 line-feet of the switch in
order for the $50 service to be any better than 56K dialup.
3. DSL service requires that the user -log on- just to connect.
4. DSL, in theory anyway, is capable of greater speeds than cable,
however, the "breakover" point where DSL is just not as effective as cable
is -extremely- close to the switch, as can be determined by the lack of DSL
"speed" at www.dslreports.com.
5. DSL is is a glorified dialup connection with transfer speeds
in -direct- correlation to distance from the switch.
6. DSL "supply" is, for the most part, supplied by the phone company,
therefore, when something -does- break (and it inevitably will), you have to
deal with -their- customer service to get it repaired.

Cable is less expensive -and- suffers from none of these deficiencies.

Much of the Cox service area is aerial wire and therefore is susceptible to
squirrel damage, breakage (due to tree branches or cars hitting poles and
taking them down), cracks in the feeder due to stress, etc.

The areas that are underground can be affected by all manner of
things -including- the owner's pets digging it up and damaging it to the
point that service levels are affected.

Phones go out, too, and for exactly the same reasons just listed. You
weren't around three or so years ago to hear all the horror stories about
DSL kicking off. Some of those concerned had a half-dozen DSL modems
sitting on closet shelves and -still- no one had ever come to their home to
set up the service. For those that -did- have someone come out and set it
up, it -never worked-.

Essentially, all you have with your DSL is a phone line dedicated to data
traffic and you are close enough to the switch for it to work.

You have the privilege of paying -at least- as much as cable modem users do
for -less- service.

IF you were capable of shutting up about that which you know nothing, you'd
never utter another word.

No need for a "one shot test". Visit the web site http://www.dslreports.com
and take a look at the average speeds of both cox.net and SBC DSL.

cox.net results:
Tests run this week: 1506
Down kbps: 2053
Upload kbps: 225

swbell.net results:
Tests run this week: 1070
Down kbps: 964
Upload kbps: 129

If slower is better, dsl is the way to go...

I'm capable of doing a little research.

I notice that you have -nothing- to say on any of the points I covered.

The only determination I can make from all of that is that you have no
counter-argument (other than your idiotic claims) for any of those points.

Why does that not surprise me?

That happens to your car? Not mine.Mine keeps it's mileage. If you
buy a decent car and keep up the maintenance on it then it will
always get the 35mph orig. mileage if driven in the same situation.
DSL speeds will tell a person alot about the performance of your
ISP and computer.

Yep. Ivan knows not the meaning of "average" because he's never seen
"average" unless looking -up-.

Obviosly does not run too great if it gets 35 mpg sometimes and 25
mpg at other times under what you alluded to the same conditions. the
age of the car does not matter if it runs as above-that is far from
running great.

Again, you have not the slightest clue.

Cox has many -ages- in the hardware. As it gets older and starts to fail,
it gets repaired or replaced. Just as SBC is supposed to do.

That you and your Cordoba won't get pulled over. No one -there- owns a POS
like yours. You -have- to be someone that doesn't live there and you'd
obviously have to be there for something illegal. I'm sure you know what
"casing the joint" means.

The question is who really gives a shit what your broadband speeds are and
who is the best? If you like what you have, are happy with the service, and
feel your getting your monies worth then what does it really matter. Most of
Oklahoma are AOLosers or converted AOLosers anyways. All but a handful of
people in the state still think that Al Gore created the Internet, and don't
have a clue on where it actually evolved from. Your points on Oklahoma are
just as stupid. The smart people from Oklahoma are the people that have left
Oklahoma. Because the best part of being an Okie is the ability to tell
people that it is a great place to be FROM. It is nothing more than a place
for druggies, thieves, pimps and whores to hide behind the Bible Thumping
cultest that rule and make policy there in the name of god. If you own land
or take stock in the state your even more stupid than most. Who you know and
what you know don't mean shit, if you have to rely on somone else to do your
dirty work for you then that means they are somebody but you still are
nothing more than a low life piece of shit. So your family owns land and
dabbles in the stock markets, so do 99% of the middle and upper class
families in the world, you still live in Oklahoma so that makes you the
sewage at the bottom of the big sewer pipe. The best thing the rest of the
country could do is to come up with a way to keep people from Oklahoma
locked in the state and prevent them from breeding so the stupidity will not
contaminate the rest of the world.

the thing is Ivan is a regular here and he regularly walks right
into it henceforth why we call him Ivan fish. You think we are really
fighting?? You think we really take this crap seriously?? think
again.Ivan is our playtoy on this newsgroup.he is so easy to bait and
hook in and that is simply all there is to it.You are the one that
needs to lighten up. I will not even go into actual harrasment matters
Ivan has attacked various ppl on this list with.
If you read my isp you will know it is not aol, would not have them
again if you paid me.
there are Okies and Oklahomans,I would not be proud to callmyself
an OIkie,as a matter of fact I am neither.I have been traveling on
business to and from Oklahoma since the 70's,i have seen the good and
bad, what I point out is fact, about my experiences here and I make no
other claim.Who are you to tell me what MY personal experiences are??
My family are some of the very ppl that created what good Tulsa has
so until you know them stay out of that area too.
And as said before you and Ivan are the only two that take this
seriously. It is called humour. Until you know what you are getting
into stay quiet. You are the only one boasting and arguing here.Get a
life.

Heh, would you believe I actually ran across someone this evening that has
fond memories of a '79 Cordoba? She loved that car, until it was stolen...
Her broken down $500 Ford Escort seems like a step up...

better fuel milage on it than you do in that Cordoba.

He even has to look up to the average Okie...

Yes, but since he says it's better, that's gotta make it true... Right?

The speeds aren't the real issue. It's Ivan's constant lies and made up
facts. He gave me shit for going to cable, saying DSL is better. He's been
asked to back that up with facts.

Ever heard of lurking?

Mine, and our debate is not with you.Let me explain again.this is my
last explaination though. for months Ivan has made claims and
harasments against many of us here. For moths he has claimed
superioroty. well, the check is now due.If he wants any credibility
with anyone,if he wants anyone to beleive him then he needs to prove
all this, and as I told you he never does. I am not being baited by
responding to you,I am merely lettting you know what is really going
on here that you ,in your last post seem to not understand.Baitng me
would be if I was ignorant enough to continue this with you which I am
not,it ends here.My only beef is Ivan and his false allegations and
claims.
