Error running MCP

I downloaded the program and entered a shape file, and my points appeared as expected. When I try to generate an MCP polygon, I keep getting an error message reading "illegal argument exception, unrecognized attribute name:null" I can generate a kernel polygon,I just cant get an MCP polygon. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?
