Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share out what I think is an awesome opportunity happening in the city. Our city's best kept secret, the non-profit Mercantile Library, is holding a hackathon on April 27th. This hackathon is for designers and developers both!
In their words:
Today the Mercantile sets its sights on a third century of invention and reinvention, and that's where you come in. We want to convene the brightest minds in the city to help us come up with the best way to present the Library to a new generation of readers, writers, and thinkers. We're offering cash awards - at least $10,000 in total - for the best ideas, as selected by our panel of experts, and winners may have the opportunity to do ongoing work for the Library. Work will take place all day on Saturday, April 27th, and then again on Sunday morning, with presentations after lunch.
