Econazi wind turbines produce endangered eagle smoothies

Canadian CANDU reactors  are what stands between the entire East Coast of the USA and the blackouts, riots and looting associated with other continents. The reason is that looter politicians, almost all of them lawyers ignorant of Freshman physics, rightly fear that if the suckers they swindle were able to get hold of nuclear explosives their own half-lives would resemble those of fission products. Political kleptocracies, all of which rely on Plank #2 of the Communist Manifesto of 1848, are organized much like Animal Farm. Politicians of one or two parties claiming to have been elected by secret and unverifiable ballots exercise deadly force to make their policies stick in the protetariat. To make it look legitimate they have to undermine support for outlier political parties which would otherwise garner votes and change the laws. 

The Christian Socialism that worships coercive altruism as an abstract proposition, especially in Germany, competes for political support with the "materialist" version that elevates the Political State to the front of the altar, displacing the Holy Trinity as worker of miracles and opium for the masses. The struggle between these two religions has placed National Socialism in the position of the Republican Party of 1912. One the pre-death side, Christian Collectivism has to compete with outright government worship of the crumbling communist faith and on the Heavenly side with Wrath-of-Allah jihadist beliefs it has been battling for a millennium. The collapse of the Soviet empire, after the Chernobyl weapons plant failed as a power source and SDI replaced MAD, robbed the New Left of its political compass. Direction was restored somewhat by replacing blonde Aryan altruism with Gaia-worship--a conversion made easier by the fact that the Mohammedan faithful had taken over the work of exterminating everything even remotely Jewish. But there remained the sticky problem of those nuclear explosives developed specifically to destroy socialist governments. 

The solution was to make all things nuclear into the Devil incarnate, complete with sulphrous fire and cloven hooves, and all other sources of energy into pious servants of the priesthood of Gaia. Sacrificing taxpayers to solar panels and wind turbine towers would, it was prophesied, save the politicians from the imagined horror of nuclear retribution. But this dogmatic edifice is constructed on the false belief that power reactors can produce bombs. Lawyers do not understand that the plutonium produced in power reactors is completely useless for bombs because of contamination with unstable "wrong" isotopes such as PU241. Besides, there is the Orwellian postulate that anything dangerous to one's own political power has to be made into Absolute Evil to which Total War is the only answer. Fine and dandy, except for the unintended consequences that undermine all pietistic regimes inconsistent with freedom. 

The unintended consequence here is that wind turbines chop wild birds into nuggets as part of their operation (and produce damned little electricity).

Solar power has proven itself a money pit incapable of powering lightbulbs in a Hooverville, but handier than The Rapture at raising electric bills Heavenward. This left wind turbines as the surviving Holy alternative, burdened with the religious responsibility of ushering in a Second Coming. The result we now see with both eyes is that the those turbines produce piddling amounts of power but litter the ground with dead birds, including American eagles, spotted owls, and many migratory species. It is a lucky thing for Yankees that Canadians invested in natural-uranium reactors incapable of runaway excursions, core melts or weapons production. This buys us time to see whether technology will be relegalized or the German quarish hawk--increasingly popular in Islamic peoples' states--will instead replace the American bald eagle.
