That's right folks, Swastika oil. Just in case anyone thinks I Photoshopped it here's the link: issue 10795 shows another version of the ad

Few car owners realize just how unwise it is to use a motor oil that does not provide a reliable seal between the piston and the cylinder walls. This pre-Pemex ad makes one wonder whether the Marinus Van der Lubbe Firebombing Society used Swastika brand gasoline in its urban reform efforts to remove an eyesore in Germany less than three years later. I have seen these inverted designs on Amerindian artifacts, and there is the Temple of the Sun in Peru that gets the mirror image of this one. 

Hey, all I know is what I read in the papers.

Followup to that is the First Amendment Big Mac story. Apparently some kid figured the butter on a bun would distribute evenly (or symbolize a punk band) as a hackenkreuz, and the customer spied an opportunity to attack freedom of expression. It goes without saying that burger flippers and their customers are not screened for IQ or history trivia scores. Still, it would be interesting to see the irate customer's expression were she to discover the thing stood for National Socialism, the regime most successful at imposing censorship, negating the Bil of Rights and interfering with commerce.
