Good evening,

I am late getting this email out to everyone, but we can start selling popcorn now!  ...and, I know that many of you have already started selling and we appreciate that. ...and, according to my notes all Scout parents should have received an email with the Seller ID and a customized URL for their Scouts to execute online sales with. If you did not receive this "Seller ID" email for your Scout please email-me.  (That particular email should have been sent to your email-box around Thu. Aug. 14th.)

Due to the important nature of the Popcorn Fundraising Venture, Troop 35 asks all of our Scouts to participate in this endeavor in one form or another.  Whether it be the actual selling of popcorn ; or, contributing extra to one’s membership fees at membership-renewal-time, it doesn’t matter.  What’s important is that our Scouts are engaged in the common commitment of fundraising.

This year, as in the recent years, Troop 35 asks that each Scout participate in the Popcorn Fundraising efforts by selling at least $150-worth of popcorn.   ...and if that’s not possible, we then ask the Scout to contribute an extra $45 to his membership fees at renewal-time.   ...and, just to be clear, if there are two Scouts in the same Family, that would mean an extra $90 for membership fees at renewal time.

If any Scout should sell beyond the $150-requirement, we will allocate 30% of what is sold beyond $150, to the Scout’s money account.  That account can then be used towards the cost of camp-outs, scouting equipment, summer camp, etc.

Regards,
Patrick Nudo
