As we come upon the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the rides are thinning out a bit. I'm sure they'll pick up a bit as our celebrations of our nation's birthday fade.

Saturday, 6/27. GREENE COUNTY MORNING MILERS. Xenia. A morning ride along the county’s bike trails, meeting at 8:30 AM, starting at 9:00, finish around 11:00. These rides are not for the beginner skill level. They will include a mix of paved trails and road loops covering an average of 25-35 miles at 14-16 MPH over terrain ranging from flat to hilly. Sunday, 6/28. 49th PORTAGE RIVER TOUR. Elmore. Follow the scenic Portage River as it flows toward Lake Erie in Northwest Ohio. The 10-mile route follows a family friendly paved trail. Sunday, 7/5. 44th TOOH: TOP OF OHIO. Hilliard & Milford Center. The fourth of the Outdoor Pursuits Cycling Series. One of the most popular of the Series, this is a great early season test to ride to the highest point in Ohio! Multiple starting points offer either mostly flat or rolling terrain — 25 to 100 miles — with some hills on the longer routes. Marked roads with maps and limited support.
