Good morning, Riders!

As we come upon the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the rides are thinning out a bit. I'm sure they'll pick up a bit as our celebrations of our nation's birthday fade.

By the way, last week I asked if you would be interested in seeing the calendar on Facebook or Instagram. I received only a few responses. Let me know what you think, please.

Saturday, 6/27. TREE CITY ROLLING TOUR & CENTURY. Greensburg, Ind. Enjoy lightly traveled scenic country roads with a combination of flats, rolling hills, and climbs on routes of 16/34/50/67/100 miles. The 67- and 100-mile routes travel along some streams, through covered bridges and beautiful country side. Like some hills? The Hilly 67- or 100-mile route is for you! Extend that route by just under 4 miles by adding the optional Rail Fence (steep grade) hill, which is a continuous climb! All routes except for the 16- and 50-miler travel around beautiful Lake Santee. Lunch is provided with a choice of grilled pork tenderloin or hamburger, sides, dessert, drinks, and more. Saturday, 6/27. GREENE COUNTY MORNING MILERS. Xenia. A morning ride along the county’s bike trails, meeting at 8:30 AM, starting at 9:00, finish around 11:00. These rides are not for the beginner skill level. They will include a mix of paved trails and road loops covering an average of 25-35 miles at 14-16 MPH over terrain ranging from flat to hilly. Sunday, 6/28. 49^th PORTAGE RIVER TOUR. Elmore. Follow the scenic Portage River as it flows toward Lake Erie in Northwest Ohio. The 10-mile route follows a family friendly paved trail. The 32-, and new, improved 64-mile flat routes venture farther into the countryside. A full-service tour, with rest stops and lunch for all riders at Elmore’s Portage River Festival. Sunday, 7/5. 44^th TOOH: TOP OF OHIO. Hilliard & Milford Center. The fourth of the Outdoor Pursuits Cycling Series. One of the most popular of the Series, this is a great early season test to ride to the highest point in Ohio! Multiple starting points offer either mostly flat or rolling terrain — 25 to 100 miles — with some hills on the longer routes. Marked roads with maps and limited support.
