Saturday, 7/26. COLUMBUS CUP-O-JOE 210K. Columbus. 210 K flat CW loop south to Circleville, west to Mechanicsburg. Returns through Columbus Commons and historic residential district. Saturday – Sunday, 7/26 – 7/27. 52nd AMISHLAND AND LAKES BICYCLE TOUR. Lagrange, Ind. Visits a world where lifestyles have remained largely unchanged for over one hundred years. One of the friendliest rides around, you’ll enjoy seeing and meeting families, women’s groups, and regional cycling clubs. Tandem pairs report they love the routes because they are “tandem friendly”. There are wide-open spaces, clean country air, friendly people, and lots of great food. There is plenty to explore, experience, and eat. The ride is famous for its food stops featuring watermelon, grapes, plums, blueberries, bananas, cookies, and more. There are also Amish bakeries, restaurants, and homemade ice cream parlors along the route. This year Betra food truck will serve breakfast Saturday and Sunday, and after-ride food on Saturday. The routes of 22/36/50/64/100 flat to rolling miles offer smooth, quiet roads, where buggies are numerous and cars are few. Saturday, 7/26. 24th PEDAL WITH PETE — CENTRAL OHIO. Marysville. A fixed-fee fundraiser supporting research leading to better prevention strategies and treatment protocols to improve the quality of life of people who live with cerebral palsy, their families and caregivers. Routes of 8/28/36/53/62/74/100 flat to rolling miles are offered. There will be rest stops in Milford Center and Mechanicsburg as well as picnic food at the end of the ride. Saturday, 7/26. GREENE COUNTY MORNING MILERS. Xenia or Beavercreek. Join the Greene County Trail Sentinels for a free morning ride along the county’s bike trails! All rides leave from either the Xenia Station bike hub or from Beavercreek Community Park. Rides start at 9 a.m. and finish around 11 a.m. These rides are not for the beginner skill level and may include a short, off-trail portion with an average of 25-35 flat miles at 15-17 mph. Sunday, 7/27. 37th RIDE THE DARBY. Grove City. The perfect preparation ride for Pelotonia participants! Ride the scenic and nearly flat roads along the watershed of the Little Darby Creek in Pickaway and Union counties covering 35/62/100 flat miles. Depending on the route chosen, pass through the small towns of Orient, London, West Jefferson, or Plain City, which are strong reminders of the agricultural heritage of Ohio. Limited on-road support.
