Starting from their Lake Ave Trailhead location, head out on the Sippo or Towpath trails to enjoy the evening and see these familiar paths in a whole new light (or lack thereof). This is a free, 14- to 18-mile beginner-friendly ride over flat terrain, with a bicycle shop team member at the front and rear of the group. Helmet and headlight/taillight required. Saturday, 8/16. 45th BEST “WURST” RIDE. Bucyrus. The tour offers cyclists of all ages and abilities the opportunity to explore the Crawford County countryside, riding along a trail lined with local flora and farms. This ride is offered to complement the local Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival. Multiple route distances are available — the main focus being a 15- and 32-mile ride — the route is well-marked and flat with little traffic. All rides leave from the Xenia Station bike hub at 7 p.m. and return to Xenia Station between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. The average speed is about 10 mph. Rides are out-and-back routes, mostly on bike trails, 20 to 30 flat miles, with a stop midway for an optional ice cream break. No registration is required.
