Lake Vesuvius this Weekend.

I realize that most of the members here have made Memorial Day plans,
however I was thinking of a quick overnighter @ Lake Vesuvius in the
Wayne. Meet up in the parking lot near the dam 9:00AM this Saturday
and take the backpacking trail Northeast to a point just before it
meets up with the lakeshore trail and establish camp. Rest, relax,
shed the excess gear and do some exploring the rest of the day-maybe
take the eastern side of the Lakeshore Trail since it is the most
scenic. Return to camp later that afternoon, spend the night there,
pack up and head back to the cars Sunday morning. That's my plan,
chime in if anyone is interested!

Here's a simple map for starters, some of the better hiking books (50
hikes in Ohio, Backpack Loops and Long Day Trail Hikes in Southern
Ohio by Robert H. Ruchhoft) have much better ones.
