Gentlemen
First off let me again say THANK YOU to you and your
groups for the participation in this year's FERMEX cycle.
I know our Emergency Manager in Monroe is impressed with
the participation and we also had a visitor last drill
from Essex County Canada who is the Emergency Management
Coordinator and a ham, and he was impressed also. Their
ARES (RAC) will most likely will be participating in the
2020 cycle as Essex is beginning to ramp up their Fermi
response plans being in the EPZ.
As in past drills we will be staged at the EMD until we
get our emergency notification and "travel" to the EOC, we
most likely will not be 100% active until around 845-9am.
Monroe RACES did get "utilized" quite heavy last drill
especially near the end, so I would venture we may see
more traffic for the exercise, but that is dependent on
our served agency contacts.
Early on while it is quieter, we may try making contact
on the your county primary repeater to see who can hear
and make contact so we know our communication circuit
backups. 145.150 pl 100 Washtenaw, 145.370 pl85.4
Lenawee and 147.270 pl 103.5 Lucas County, and if we can
get the time 147.375 pl103.5 which Northwest Ohio District
1 ARES/Skywarn uses and it is a large footprint repeater
right on the edge of Lake Erie at about 700'. Wayne
county will be on 147.160 pl 100 as a intercounty link to
us.
John McDonough has requested Michigan DMR State Wide 1
from CMEN for the drill and also DStar 024A reflector as
links to State EOC in Lansing. Monroe County Will not
have either for the exercise. HF to State EOC will be
3.932 with 7.232 as a backup if the conditions require.
After the drill any comments you have, please email me
with them so I can add them to the AAR.
Thank You all, yet again
