
The Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) will be testing the Hospital Radios this Saturday August 5, 2017 at 12 pm. The net will start on 147.270 + PL/103.5
This is intended as an overview of what we hope will occur;
147.270 will be the rally frequency. It will be monitored throughout the radio testing. Stations that get lost can return to this frequency for guidance.
To change the operating mode from FM to Digital Voice, Push the Tuning knob in and hold until the screen changes to FM. Rotate the tuning knob until DV is displayed. To change back simply repeat and change to FM.
When giving signal reports please give one of three responses.

Net control will open the net at 12 pm on the frequency of 147.270 FM (Ch.1), take check-ins, and ask for an SWR report for the hospital antenna.
Net control will move the net to the repeater frequency of 147.375 FM (Ch.3) and perform a rollcall.
Net control will move the net to the simplex frequency of 146.460 FM (Ch.25) and change the operating mode to Digital Voice (DV). Net control will perform a roll call and ask for signal reports. Stations with traffic will pass their traffic using digital soundcard mode MT63 2000L centered on 1500
Net control will move the net to the repeater frequency of 444.700 FM (Ch.12) and perform a rollcall. Stations with PICTURE traffic will pass their traffic using digital soundcard mode Scottie 2 MMSSTV.
Net control will move the net to the repeater frequency of 442.850 (Ch.11) and perform a rollcall and take comments.
After the comment round, stations may secure.
There will be a brief informal digital soundcard session on 147.270 after the net secures.
