to Ohio in the Civil War
Hello,

Just a quick FYI, I have started a blog about Ohio at the Battle of
Perryville. Small blog that will have infrequent posts, but hoping to
generate enough interest to raise the funds to have some sort of Ohio
at Perryville marker or signage on the battlefield. If Michigan and
Illinios can, certainly the state that provided the most troops to the
Army of the Ohio (later Cumberland) can as well.

Please take a look when you you have the chance: http://ohioatperryville.blogspot.com/

Thank you,
Darryl Smith

Did the ist artillery of ohio participate there? Myron A. Richards . We
have his letters about each fight, but they are distributed throughout the
family. He was mentioned in a diary account of a veteran on line. It was
so awesome. His letters are amazing as well. Should I do something with
the letters? Amy carter

Myron Richards was in Battery A of the 1st Ohio Light Artillery.  According to the unit history listed in Dyer's Compendium Battery A was at Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, the day the Battle took place at Perryville on October 8, 1862.

We have a book written in 1865 by h.m. Davidson recording all the battles and sites.  He details the Perryville battle in great detail, all the blood, horses and dead men. How the cannons destroyed the houses, barns and such.  Have u heard about this book?  His battalion came to Perryville after the battle
