My book, "Citizen-General: Jacob D. Cox and the Civil War Era," was published by Ohio University Press last month.  Here is a link to the notice on the press web-site:

Cox was one of the best "political generals" of the North, and went on to become Governor of Ohio and President of the University of Cincinnati, among other positions.  Hope you enjoy the book.

Our great-grandfather's (wife and me) fought for General Cox at Franklin and Nashville in 1864. Headquartered at Franklin in the Fountain Branch Carter house, he orchestrated a great Union victory. A proud moment in his long and proud contributions to Ohio!

Thank you for the nice note.
I will be in Franklin in early June, speaking at the Civil War Round Table and visiting the Carnton/Carter facilities to meet people and, of course, to sell books.
