Hi all,

As we discussed on the call it would be helpful for us to get a PIX manager and OpenXDS setup for use with our show case. These will need to be configured to be able to work together. Under RHEA we have 2 main identifiers:
  • ECID - The enterprise client id, this is the unique id that the patient has within the HIE
  • NID - The patient national identifier, this is usually the best way to look a patient up and retrieve their ECID
The PIX manager would need to be configured to know about both the NID and the ECID and must be able to map from NID to ECID. OpenEMPI currently does this for us under RHEA except we don't use PIX for RHEA. So, Odysseas may be able to easily set this up for us or we could just use the current pre-production CR and switch on PIX support.

OpenXDS would need to be configured to use the ECID domain for patient identifiers.

Both the NID and ECID domain can have random OIDs as we can easily configure these in the OpenHIM.

If it is at all possible to get something like this setup in the cloud and on vm's that would be a great help.

Thanks,
Ryan

Hi Ryan,

I have setup openXDS on my laptop but have not yet configured it to use the ECID domain for patient identifiers.  I am putting in a request with our IT to setup a VM on which I could install openXDS so that it is accessible to you.  I hope to have it available by COB tomorrow.

Thanks,

Shahid
